Jody Soileau, CLED
Economic Development Specialist, SLEMCO
Jody Soileau has been employed by SLEMCO for the past 35 years and holds the position of their Economic Development Specialist. Jody is one of the first graduates of the Certified Louisiana Economic Developer program and he is also a Certified Key Account Executive through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Heavily involved in his community, Jody currently serves as a board member for the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce and he was their 2016 Chairman of the Board. He also serves as board member for One Acadiana, the St. Landry-Evangeline United Way - Vice President, the Carencro Business Association, and the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce. He has served as Chairman of the Youngsville Business Advocacy Committee for the past 4 years and he was recently appointed to the LSU-E Board of Advisors.

Jody grew up in rural St. Landry Parish and attained an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering before starting his SLEMCO career in 1982. He later went to UL-L and graduated in 2000 with a degree in General Studies with a business minor.
