Paul J. Helton

                                             Director of Louisiana FastStart

 

Paul Helton was recruited to Louisiana to be one of the founding members of the nation's leading workforce development program, Louisiana FastStart. For seven consequetive years, LED FastStart has been recognized as the #1 workforce development program by independent consultants and corporate leaders.  Mr. Helton serves as LED FastStart’s Director, providing oversight and direction for all LED FastStart projects as well as management of the project operations team and workforce initiatives.

Paul Helton has over twenty years of targeted workforce development experience. As a founding member of LED FastStart, he has helped to create a well qualified and sustainable workforce in Louisiana for over seven years. Prior to LED FastStart, Helton served as the Director of Economic Development for North Metro Technical College in Acworth, GA, leading the Contract Training, Continuing Education, and Workforce Programs divisions. Helton also managed individual company workforce development projects with the successful and highly ranked Georgia Quick Start program. Prior to Georgia Quick Start, Helton was an independent training consultant and a Master Training Specialist with the US Navy TRIDENT nuclear submarine program.

Mr. Helton holds a Bachelors of Science from Regents University and a Masters from University of Georgia
